Suckas (2011 Analog Remix)
A classic Universal Sounds posse cut reinvented for the second decade of the twenty-first Century. A quote from the film "Payback" kicks off the proceedings as analog layers of samples glide over a programmed beat conducted by Mysterio. Suckas still don't like them.

Suckas

One of the great posse cuts from the 1994 - 1995 era of Universal Sounds. The Muppets bass line is in the background buried under several smooth samples from the time when soul music actually had soul. Mysterio credits MJB's great record collection which they both dug thru to create several tracks back in the day including this one.
NOTABLE QUOTES:
"No love for the backstabbers - the two faces - the egomaniacs who make tracks/ With aspirations of being on wax" - J.O.B.
"And please I'm hot - not a faker or a taker/ I send those not menthos but I'm the fresh maker" - MJB
"The Dragon slayer walking on the edge of sanity/ And when I reach your town that's a sure fire calamity" - Mayhem
"But the beasts be after me with feathers and tar/ So catch me chilling with Max where the Wild Things Are/ Ayo - suckas be aware of my Raw" - Spee*D
"Suckas they try to step up they get pounded/ They bring the beef so like beef they're grounded" - Claw
"Move swift the gift that's bound to uplift/ My raps stick in your mouth like a spoonful of JIF" - Moosie Moe

Cosmosis

Two mixes with nine different emcees representing Universal Sounds. Moosie Moe, Claw, E.N.S., Big Vic, MJB, T-Booth, Mayhem, Spee*D and Fred Dogs are all on the Original Recipe Mix.
While Moosie Moe, Claw, E.N.S., MJB, DJ Cream, Aya Da Storm & Spee*D bring up the 1997 remix Live @ Quad Jam.
Notable Quotes from both mixes:
"Running plays by plays by plays by plays by plays/ Emcees are strays like Faye they're Dunaway" - Claw
"Coming crystal clear like an ADAT - who say that??/ Put this fucking tape in your deck, bro and play that" - E.N.S.
"Synapses and dendrites pop like a click of a clip/ Knowledge is the chalice - take a sip" - Spee*D
"Doing this for years - leaving all emcees in tears/ Shining down on them like light but keep it smooth like Barry White" - Big Vic
"What? You thought I'd fall off like a leper?/ Rap without Moose is like salt without the pepper" - Moosie Moe
"So I light up my data operator indicators/ They're closing on the hidden lairs of a traitor" - T-Booth
"I'm not a prophet or a gangster or a superhuman thug/ Not evil, cowardly, wicked or addicted to a drug" - MJB
"I'm DJ Cream and you can tell by the style I use/ I'm crazily superior, no, I never lose" DJ Cream
"Let me get wreck on the mic for a sec/ Representing UNI cause UNI is breaking necks" - Fred Dogs
"I might erupt like Vesuvius - so who wants the dubious/ Distinction of being first for the extinction" - Mayhem

F**K You

Spee*D sent this time about a year ago. He had been working up in Chi-town and put this together with a producer friend of his. Over a booming beat with sharp orchestral stabs and playful piano Spee*D brings his wild style with humor and social perspective.
NOTABLE QUOTES:
"Cause things ain't free in this economy/ And even good skins can't feed my family/ Or pay for the degrees that has me owing g's/ To Sally Mae and two Universities" - Spee*D

Founders Freestyles 1994

Back in Founders during the summer of 1994 many freestyle sessions took place in a smoked filled room. This session features beats by E.N.S., J.O.B., Claw and Mysterio. Emcees featured are E.N.S., Claw, Moosie Moe, T-Booth, J.O.B. with Fred Dogs and Spee*D giving support in the background. All scratches vary from each of the emcees and producers - that's just how we did back then - constant rotation.
Highlights include when T-Booth hits Claw in the head with the microphone and E.N.S. encouraging a reluctant Fred to get on the mic.

Green Grass EP

The production handled by Mysterio included samples from Stevie Wonder, Willie Hutch and the band called Stuff. These samples were dug from records supplied courtesy of MJB back in 1995. The song was imagined by Claw and the musical landscape matched the lyrics in a very soulful way.
