My Fuckin' Style

Back in the lab @ 202 9th Street in 2001 Cise and Claw concocted this little jam. Dropping the flow reminiscent of the Cise Byrd track over a funky little guitar laden track.

NOTABLE QUOTES:

"Blow hole in your microphone/ With lines that melt your flesh and bone"

"And you think you want to battle son - we're down for a scuffle/ Bragging that you have more chips than ruffles"

Never Give You Up

Building off a Harvey Mason Disco-era sample this song stands out on the album Today's Scriptures by Kwote. He weaves a tale of a love found and lost over this uptempo and free flowing jam.

This jam reminds me of Positive K's "You Got A Man" and Father MC's "I'll Do For You" but I guess that is just the disco-era samples and subject matter. Although, those two songs are polar opposites in lyrical context. Anyhow - this track by Kwote gets a 5 Star rating in my ITUNES list.

NOTABLE QUOTES:

"My own brand of art but it was doomed from the start/ This comes from the heart/ By now we broke it apart"

Give it Up!

Rock Like This

Another fine selection from the Time-Space Continuum album. Over a smooth track, created by Claw with a little help from Mysterio, the five emcees drop their very different styles as they are all hooked together with a clipped vocal snippet from Pharoahe Monch.

NOTABLE QUOTES:

"To spark fresh ideas you gotta open up your ears/ Get a handle on your fear and call on strength of the bear (Beer)" - Analytical

"Do the wave as I shoo away the cavemen/ Of hip hop - it's like walking on snow in flip flops" - Optiskept

"Spaced out in a zone/ All alone beyond the known planets/ No stars to light the sky/ Just a group of wise men who have travelled the trails and seen through the lies" - Kwote

"My parables incomparable/ You are unbearable/ Shaky like cerebral palsy - you're terrible" - Anoir

"If you ain't hear about it before/ We gonna tell you now/ Screaming out "fuck you" in enemies part of town" - Cise

Keep rocking with the best
